Christmas tree farm mini sessions always have their own kind of energy. Kids are excited, everyone is dressed for the holidays, and there is usually a little mix of sweet, silly, and beautifully chaotic happening all at once.
These photos are from my 2023 Christmas tree minis at Haynie's Tree Farm in Crowley, just outside Fort Worth. The rows of trees, warm late-fall light, and simple holiday setting gave every family room to move, cuddle, laugh, and make the photos feel like them.
Holiday mini sessions move quickly, but that does not mean they have to feel stiff. I guide families into the photos we know grandparents will want, then make space for the in-between moments too. Little hands reaching for ornaments, kids moving between the trees, parents pulling everyone close, and the expressions that happen once nobody is trying quite so hard to smile.
I love looking back at galleries like this because they hold onto such a specific season of family life. The coordinated outfits are fun, but the real value is seeing how small the kids were and remembering what that holiday felt like.
